This policy explains what Tech Teki LLC("Tech Teki", "we") collects when you use Teki Analytics, and what we collect on behalf of our customers about visitors to their websites.
1. Information about our customers (account holders)
- Account details: your name, email address, password (stored encrypted), and preferences.
- Billing: your plan, payment history and PayPal transaction IDs. PayPal processes your payment; we never see or store your card or bank details.
- Usage and security logs: sign-in times, IP address and browser, kept to secure your account and investigate abuse.
- Support messages you send us.
We use this information to run your account, bill you, send service emails (receipts, reports you turn on, important notices), and keep the Service secure. We do not sell it or use it for advertising.
2. Information about visitors to our customers' websites
When a customer adds Teki Analytics to their website, we collect, on that customer's behalf: pages viewed, the referring website, campaign tags in the link, approximate location (country, region and city, worked out from the IP address), device type, browser, operating system, screen size and language, and time on site. Depending on the customer's settings, we also record clicks, scrolls and form use (without what was typed), goals reached, and session recordings that replay a visit with form fields hidden.
By default the IP address is used only to find the approximate location and is not stored. A random visitor identifier lets returning visits be counted; it is not linked to the visitor's name or email. The customer who owns the website decides what to collect and is responsible for telling their visitors and obtaining any consent their laws require. For those visitors, the customer is the controller and we act as their processor.
3. Cookies
Our own site uses essential cookies to keep you signed in, and asks before using any others. The tracking code we give customers can work without cookies; customers who turn on advanced tracking store a random identifier in the visitor's browser.
4. Who we share information with
Only with providers that help us run the Service, under contracts that limit their use of it:
- Hostinger (web hosting and database, United States data center)
- PayPal (payments)
- Cloudflare (domain name service and security)
- [email protected]
We may also disclose information when the law requires it. Country and city lookups use a database stored on our own server, so visitor IP addresses are not sent to another company for that purpose.
5. How long we keep it
Website analytics are kept for the period set by the customer's plan, from 30 days to 3 years, then deleted automatically. Session recordings are kept up to 30 days. Account details are kept while the account is open and deleted within 30 days after it is closed. Billing records are kept as long as tax law requires.
6. Your choices and rights
Account holders can view, export and delete their data, and close their account, from their account settings, or by emailing us. Depending on where you live (for example California, the EU or the UK), you may have the right to access, correct, delete or move your personal information, or object to how it is used. Website visitors should contact the website owner first; we will help that customer respond. We will not discriminate against you for using these rights.
7. Security
We use encrypted connections (HTTPS), encrypted passwords, two-step sign-in for administrators, and access limited to the people who run the Service. No system is perfectly secure; we will notify affected customers of a breach as the law requires.
8. Children
The Service is not for anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect children's information through accounts.
9. Changes
We will post updates here and email account holders about material changes before they take effect.
